I'm not a parent (happy to be an Aunt!), but I understand feeling bad for taking time for yourself to do something special, like getting your nails done. But a good way to think about it is that by filling your own cup with self-love, you have lots of love to share with others from the overflow of your cup. You can't pour from an empty cup, so by filling yours, you have enough to pour into others. Love you boo!

Welcome to parenthood. I was upset they brought my baby boy to me at 1 day old with tears in his eyes & said they did the snip & didn’t even tell me. Yes, I went ballistic. Wish I could have breast feed, but couldn’t. I was in for SIX weeks with both babies. Thank God for Sisters-in-love because after two weeks I took a FULL SHOWER. Enjoy these precious moments, they grow so fast.

Actually, more and more airlines have discontinued their "live" customer service lines. I wouldn't think that would be such a major expense for airlines that it would be something they would cut at the risk of potentially upsetting and frustrating customers who prefer to be able to speak with someone in-person when they have an issue or question. It must be one of those things that they feel they can cut that is non safety related yet reduces expenses enough to justify the potential drawbacks.
